Spencer J. Cox is a dedicated public servant, currently serving as the 18th Governor of Utah, and simultaneously holding the position of Chairman of the National Governors Association for the term 2023-2024. With a foundation in public service, Cox has progressed from roles as a city councilmember, mayor, county commissioner, and state legislator to his appointment as Utah's Lieutenant Governor in 2013. Since being elected Governor in 2021, Cox's leadership has been characterized by transformative accomplishments, including significant tax cuts, innovative water law reforms, education funding enhancements, and advocacy for mental health resources and youth protection from the impact of social media. He has pursued academic excellence through studies at Snow College, Utah State University, and the Washington and Lee University School of Law.
